Clockwork Puppies began in 2023 with two French Bulldog sisters and no business plan. By 2025, when the LLC was formalized, we already knew the truth — this wasn't going to be a single breeder's program.
It was going to be an institution.
Most breeding programs end when the founder retires. The dogs go to other programs. The reputation fades. The standards drift. The next generation has to start over from zero.
Clockwork is being built differently. Every system we ship — the 100-Star Home Standard, the Mama Purdy matriarch voice, the certification framework, the community we're forming around it — is designed to compound across generations, not depend on any one person.

The decision to make Mama Purdy the program's voice wasn't sentimental. It was structural.
A founder runs a program for as long as they live. A matriarch runs a culture that outlasts everyone in it. By centering the voice on the dog who started this — and codifying that voice in everything we ship — we built something that doesn't depend on me being here to maintain it.
